2027 Subaru Ascent Rear View

As of this writing, 2026 has not yet reached its halfway mark, but Michael Hohl Subaru is ready to announce the changes and pricing for the 2027 Subaru Ascent. This three-row crossover is largely left unchanged from the 2026 Ascent, save for some thoughtful enhancements throughout the vehicle. Recognizing the growing popularity of USB-C charging ports, Subaru has added them for 3rd-row passengers. The ports are located on the right-rear quarter trim near the third-row seats and include protective covers to keep them free of dirt and dust.

A particularly thoughtful new feature is an interior light OFF switch that lets drivers disable door-activated interior lighting with a single touch, preventing the lights from turning on when doors are opened or closed. The primary benefit is to prevent waking passengers who may be sleeping in the back seats. 2027 also introduces a new Deepwater Blue Pearl exterior color exclusive to the Ascent.

All Ascents are powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® engine producing 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with a Lineartronic® CVT that includes an 8-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. Like most Subaru model lines, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE® is standard across the model line, along with Hill Descent Control, a form of low-speed cruise control for descending steep unpaved surfaces. Every Ascent also has up to 5,000 pounds of towing capability.
