Rugged Performance

The new Outback comes with two direct-injection engine options to choose from. There is the 2.5-liter engine that produces 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque and the 3.6-liter engine that generates 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. The standard Lineartronic® CVT allows for improved efficiency and a 6-speed manual mode with paddle shifters.

The 3.6-liter engine option is only available in for the Touring and Limited trim levels, but either option allows for the power and efficiency that you need to merge and pass in the Minden area and save on gas money. The power and design of the Outback also allow for a towing capacity of 2,700 pounds, making it possible to bring along small boats or trailers for adventurous outings.

The Outback delivers the incredible traction and stability features that allow for more control both for your daily driving and when you choose to take the Outback off-road. What makes the new Outback even more inviting is the number of standard stability and traction features that come standard. These features include:

  • Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive
  • X-MODE®
  • Active Torque Vectoring
  • Traction Control System
  • Vehicle Dynamics Control
