The new 2026 Subaru Outback is here! Not only has it completely changed in size and space, but it also packs Subaru’s newest technology.

It starts with what you immediately see once you get into the 2026 Outback. The 12.1-inch multimedia touchscreen is now landscape oriented, located on top of the center stack. The screen itself has taken steps further with higher resolution, improved brightness, and anti-glare enhancements.

Driving the new multimedia system is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Automotive processor. It will drive a faster, more powerful system, delivering a very enjoyable experience when it comes to switching screens, playback options, and smartphone integration.

The multimedia system also supports Google Services. This enables Google Assistant to enhance voice recognition towards getting you to your vehicle's functions, apps, and services inside the system. You can also tether your smartphone wirelessly through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2026_Subaru_Outback_47.jpgThe 2026 Subaru Outback becomes the newest model to get a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster. It may look like the cluster you were familiar with in previous models, but in a cleaner format offering some customization for the information you need.

Subaru has always been committed to safety. This is evidenced through high crash testing marks and through the many testimonials about how Subaru vehicles saved lives. This is due to EyeSight driver assist technologies and the way it can detect danger ahead and around your Subaru.

On the 2026 Outback, EyeSight has been enhanced further with additional features that are developed to keep your vehicle safe from harm. These new features include acceleration override assist, front and side alert assist with braking, and Emergency Stop Assist with Safe Lane Selection. When you opt for the Touring and Touring XT trims, the EyeSight system will get several upgrades, such as integrated GPS data, 3D high-definition maps, millimeter-wave radar, and a camera-based system.

Another piece of the 2026 Outback’s commitment to safety is an updated DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. This feature receives a wider-angle, higher-resolution camera, improved processing, and infrared LEDs that can read you, even through your sunglasses. This system also works with driver-recognition convenience features, automatic seat adjustments, mirrors, and climate preferences for up to five users.

On top of these enhanced features, additional driver assistance features will make their debut in the 2026 Outback. These new features include Highway Active Lane Change Assist, Automatic Resume Assist, Highway Hands-Free Assist, and Pre-Curve Speed Control.

These technological upgrades match the rest of the improvements made on the 2026 Outback. If you want to see one for yourself, contact us at Michael Hohl Subaru to get the newest version of vehicle that can go anywhere with ease—including the slopes around Lake Tahoe!
