In the world of racing there are a few courses that reign supreme due to their difficulty and the beautiful landscapes that they carve through. One of these elite tracks is the TT course at the Isle of Man, and it is renowned as one of the greatest.
A few years ago Subaru rally driver Mark Higgins took to the Isle of Man and set the four-wheel lap record across the 37.75-mile course, however, for him this was not enough.
Earlier this month Higgins returned, but this time behind the wheel of a near stock 2015 Subaru WRX STI. The only alterations from the standard model were safety features and minor mechanical improvements to help the ride handle the harsh course and its twists and turns.
With their new set of wheel Higgins and Subaru torched the Isle once again, lowering their record lap time to 19 minutes and 26 seconds, and barreling through the course at speeds of up to 160 mph.
Official video was recently released of this run, so take a look below at all the action to see the record being broken:
Mark Higgins and Subaru continue to be on top of the Isle of Man's leaderboard for four-wheel vehicles, and the WRX STI he piloted looked and sounded fantastic on the track.
We have this ride right here in Carson City, Nevada, so if you want to have sporty drivability and flashy style then stop by our showroom and see the WRX STI in the inventory of new Subaru models.
