The Subaru Crosstrek is a compact crossover SUV that has been in production since 2012. The popular vehicle has received several major upgrades over the last eight years, but it will again get an extensive facelift before the 2021 model year. Subaru has recently released new information concerning these major updates, and they are surely going to excite a lot of drivers around Minden.

Sport Trim Level

The biggest change to the new Subaru Crosstrek in Carson City is the addition of a new trim level. The Sport trim level is specifically designed for drivers that love to take their vehicle off-roading in South Lake Tahoe. This version of the compact crossover allows you to optimize the all-wheel-drive system based on your terrain using the X-MODE traction control system. You will have no problem getting the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek through big hills, deep snow, mud or dirt when choosing the Sport trim level.

Extra Engine Option

A new engine option will be available when purchasing the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine will provide up to 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. This is 30 horsepower more than you will find on the Crosstrek's standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This extra power is only expected to cost you one mile per gallon in fuel efficiency. The new engine will be offered on the Sport and Limited trim levels.

New Safety Features

The Subaru Crosstrek has already won multiple awards for its safety, but it will be even safer in the 2021 model year. Several tweaks have been made to the EyeSight Driver Assistance program to give the driver more control. These tweaks add adaptive cruise control and automatic lane centering to the Subaru Crosstrek for the first time. All of the other popular safety features on the EyeSight system will return in 2021.

We at Michael Hohl Subaru cannot wait to unveil the new 2021 Subaru Crosstrek to our Truckee and Gardnerville customers. The new compact crossover SUV is expected to arrive by the end of the summer.
